Sending legitimate EmailCan I send out an email newsletter to people who really did subscribe to it?
Email newsletters are fine as long as your visitors have requested them. They can be a fantastic tool for communication with your visitors. We do ask however, that you please keep your mailings to no more than 400 - 500 people, and no more than one newsletter per week. Sending legitimate newsletters is fine, but if we receive people informing us you have been sending SPAM we will have no choice but to suspend your account in the interests of all of the accounts you share the server with. When large numbers of emails are sent they also tend to attract large numbers of visitors to the site sending them shortly after. For this reason we do limit accounts to sending 100 emails per hour to help avoid a situation where one account is getting a massive burst of traffic that slows down that particular server for all accounts.
