Web Host Manger (WHM)

Web Host Manager (WHM) is an administration system for resellers.

Made by the same company that produced cPanel control panel, WHM allows resellers to create their own client hosting accounts.

If a reseller had several clients that had vastly different requirements, the WHM could allow them to have different "packages" and use their disk space and transfer effectively.

A client that requires large amounts of disk space and little transfer could be given a full 1000MB of disk space and 2000MB of transfer. The extra transfer could be given to a client with the opposite requirements.

Other features the WHM allows resellers are:

• Setting the amount of emails, MySQL databases, autoresponders, FTP accounts, and mailing lists in each package
• A central point for setting passwords for your clients that have lost them.
• Instant setup of new accounts.
• Flexibility to modify disk space or transfer for your clients, while not resetting their entire webspace.
• Displays of how much disk space and transfer is currently being used by each of your clients.
• The ability to set a template for the files created when each account is setup. This is normally used for "holding" pages until your client is ready to upload.
