Removing URL Redirects in cPanel Flash Tutorial

Once you have used a URL redirect to forward visitors from the previous location of a page to its new location, eventually everyone updates their bookmarks and knows the new URL. When this occurs there is no need to still have the redirect and it can be removed.

While it wouldn't have an adverse effect if you simply left the redirect in place, it keeps everything neat and the server responding slightly faster if you do remove it. Removing redirects from your website can be done from cPanel.

The following flash tutorial guides you through removing URL redirects in cPanel control panel. We also have tutorial on adding a URL redirect available.

See further cPanel Flash tutorials or our support pages for more information. The answers to general and pre-purchase questions can be seen in our FAQ.

Please contact us if you have a question that is not answered on our site.
